Pinnacle Investment Management reported $33.4 billion in overseas net inflows during fiscal 2026.

International investors have overtaken Australian sources as the primary driver of capital for Pinnacle Investment Management over its 20-year history. In fiscal year 2026, overseas clients accounted for net inflows of $33.4 billion, with their contributions totaling $12.3 billion—a figure exceeding the combined total of $21.1 billion from Australian retail and institutional investors. Australian retail investors added $10.2 billion, while Australian institutions contributed $10.9 billion.

The firm’s total assets under management climbed 28% to $229.4 billion by the end of the year, with nearly one-third now held by clients based outside Australia. By 2026, that share had ballooned to $74.9 billion, comprising roughly one-third of all assets across more than 50 countries.

Since 2016, Pinnacle’s private market strategies have grown from $1.5 billion to $37.8 billion, now representing 16% of its total assets. The firm said there is a “great need” for private market asset managers globally. However, it flagged short-term pressure on private credit and private real estate, while remaining confident in the asset class’ long-term prospects. Its current private market affiliates include US-based private market manager VSS, Japan-based private market platform Advantage Partners and Australian firm Metrics Credit Partners.

Beyond private markets, Pinnacle is pursuing growth through acquisitions. Its subsidiary, Antipodes Partners, finalized the purchase of Bennelong Funds Management in September 2026, strengthening its boutique fund management capabilities. Meanwhile, the Pacific Asset Management platform recorded $653 million in net inflows during the quarter, with $455 million from adviser solutions and $198 million from single-manager strategies. The firm pointed to renewed investor demand for differentiated active value strategies, a larger and more scalable operating platform, and continued focus on distribution and cash flows.
